Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 will have the chance to take the ASVAB CEP exam on March 5, 2019.  This unique opportunity enables young people to explore careers in the context of their skills and interests, understand all of their options, and to plan for the path of their choice. The informational session will be offered on January 22nd. Parents are welcome to attend. Please see the activity calendar for times. TSI testing is scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 9 AM – 2 PM.  Below is the link to the online registration form.  The deadline to register for this testing date is Wednesday, January 9, 2019.  For more information about TSI testing, please see you counselor.

Key Club is hosting their 4th annual Key to Kids’ Heart celebration here at our school on Saturday, December 22nd. Everyone is invited and must bring a toy in new or gently used condition for admission, it will be donated to children in need. It is a potluck party so bringing food is encouraged, but food will be provided. There will be Christmas themed games, music and loads of fun! It is a celebration for all the hard work Key Clubbers have put in so far in the year and to help children who are in need of gifts this Christmas. HSI Sugar Land Music Program presents a Winter Concert. The concert will be at 6:30 pm in the gym on December 17th, 2018.  Admission is Free.

 

HSI-Sugar Land will be closed on December 10 – 14 to all visitors on these days including lunch drop-offs due to District Assessments (DA’s).

Attention! The HSI National Honor Society will be holding its annual blood drive with St. Luke’s on Thursday December 20th in the Gym. Requirements for donations are that donors be over 110 pounds and are the age of 17 by the date of the blood drive. Along with eligible students, faculty and parents are welcome to donate as well. Signing up to donate opens now and will close Thursday December 13th. The sign up link is posted below.

Harmony Public Schools joins the country in mourning the loss of President George H.W. Bush, a leader known as the “education president” for his tireless devotion to America’s schoolchildren.

A statewide Day of Mourning has been declared by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, to allow Texans to pay their respects to President Bush. All Harmony Public School campuses will remain open and operating on their regular schedule on this date.

For 2017-2018, HSI – Sugar Land received a met standard rating and received distinctions in all seven categories measured by STAAR testing. The school report card is available to download from the link below.

This school report card is designed to tell us how well we are helping students reach grade level and how well we are preparing them for success after high school. Much like the grades we give students, we can use these grades to identify ways to help schools improve over time.
