Junior Parent/Guardian Night – College Planning 101

Dear Mustang Junior Students & Parents/Guardians,

Little things can make a big difference in the way your child thinks about—and prepares for—college. It’s never too early to talk about college, even in the most general way, or to help your child develop positive study habits. The earlier they discover what study techniques work for them, the easier time they’ll have in high school—and in college.

HSI-Sugar Land College & Career Counseling team is pleased to invite you to join our Junior Parent/Guardian Night – College Planning 101 Parent/Guardian High School Info Night which will be held in VIRTUALLY (Zoom Meeting) on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Join us for a great opportunity to learn more about:

  • Getting the facts about what college costs.
  • Searching together for colleges that meet your child’s needs.
  • Exploring financial aid options.
  • Attending college fairs and financial aid events.
  • Helping your child research scholarships.
  • Helping your child make summer plans.
  • Visiting colleges together.

We will be looking forward to seeing you in the event soon.

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks in Advance

Best,

Mr. Walter Morgan, M.Ed

Dear Seniors, Parents, and Guardians, 5/20/2021

We are extremely excited for this Saturday’s Graduation for our Seniors, Class of 2021!

It has been a difficult year, but our Seniors did it. Saturday is the final celebration of their High School years.

We know there are some concerns regarding the weather and the location. We are monitoring the weather closely.

The primary goal is to still have the graduation at the stadium, with all family and visitors. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our options are limited. In case it is raining, we have a backup plan. If we cannot have the Graduation outdoors at the stadium, the Seniors will go to the indoor location, a basketball arena near the stadium. Unfortunately, because of the Social Distancing guidelines, family and visitors will NOT be allowed in the basketball arena.

We will stream the Graduation Ceremony live from the stadium, and we will continue to broadcast the Ceremony if we have to move inside, so all family, friends, and visitors can see the Ceremony on the screen from the bleachers in the stadium, or on their phones, or TV screens, either at home or in the cars at the parking lot of the stadium.

We realize that this is not an ideal situation, but it is our goal to give the Seniors a Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, May 22, as planned.

We would like to stress that the option with the Seniors in the basketball arena is a backup plan. We are still preparing for a Graduation Ceremony as planned in the outdoor football stadium with room for all visitors and Seniors.

(Preparations at the Kenneth Hall Stadium)

We are looking forward to celebrating our Seniors Graduation, regardless of where the Ceremony will take place.

Seniors still need to be at the Kenneth Hall Stadium at 3:00 PM, for rehearsal and to get ready for the Ceremony, regardless of the Ceremony’s location.

Families and friends: the doors to the stadium will open at 5:00 PM

The Graduation Ceremony will start at 6:00 PM
