Dear Parents:
During the weeks of January 22 and January 29, students in grade levels 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th will take tests called Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®). We give students MAP tests to determine your child’s instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year and from year to year in the areas of Reading, Language, and Math. Your child will take the tests on a computer.
MAP tests are unique in that they adapt to be appropriate for your child’s level of learning. As a result, each student has the same opportunity to succeed and maintain a positive attitude toward testing. Additionally with MAP tests, we can administer shorter tests and use less class time while still receiving detailed, accurate information about your child’s growth. Following each testing period, you will receive a report showing your child’s growth.

Sincerely,
HSI – Sugar Land

You are being asked to complete this survey to help all members of the school (students, parents, and school personnel) understand how you feel about your school.
As you respond to each item, focus on your thoughts and feelings based on your own personal experiences as a student.
There are no right or wrong answers—this is not a test! We just want to know how you feel. Your responses will provide us with important information to help your school become even better.
All of your responses are completely anonymous, which means that your teachers or family will not see your answers. No one will ever see how you filled out your own survey.
This survey should take you approximately 10 minutes.
Thank you for taking this survey!
